Alex just finished his sophomore year at D’Evelyn High School. He is a sports fanatic who enjoys soccer and basketball along with watching football. He also has a creative side and loves playing the piano and chess. This summer, he is looking forward to spending time outside with campers playing games, swimming, and enjoying ice cream at the end of the day! A former CA camper himself he is now excited to be a part of the program as a counselor.
Ashley just finished her first of two years of the MFA Contemporary Performance program at Naropa University in Boulder. For fun, she likes reading and spending time outdoors (combining both is the best!). Ashley is most looking forward to meeting all of the campers and making some music with them in the sunshine.
Camryn is a rising senior at Colorado Academy. She really enjoys playing sports, especially soccer and basketball, but will have fun doing anything active! She also loves to travel and hasa true passion for exploring the world. Camryn worked CA Summer Camp last year and is so excited to have the opportunity to return. She is most looking forward to playing games during free swim with all the kids!
Carson is a sophomore at St. Andrew’s Boarding School in Middletown, Delaware. He loves sports and is currently on the rowing team. He also ran cross country and swims in the winter. Whether it is paint balling, kayaking, or just lying around, there is nothing better than having a fun time with incredible people. He is looking forward to teaching more and more kids how to swim and that the water is truly so much more fun than it is scary!
Dylan recently graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Human Services. He is looking to get into case management, adoption work, or any career that allows him to continue his passion of working with kids. He enjoys playing racquetball, watching sports, and going bowling. This is his 6th summer working in the Rainbow group for Colorado Academy Summer Programs. He’s looking forward to making more memories with the kids and having fun during each activity throughout the day!
Erin attends Vanguard University of Southern California in Newport Beach and is studying psychology. She absolutely loves being outdoors and doing things that get people outside. She also loves reading and water coloring. This summer she is looking forward to working outside, staying busy all day, and of course the great kids. Camp is every kid’s favorite part of summer and she can't wait to play a part in that!
Karli will be attending Creighton University this fall pursuing a double major in biology and international business. She loves spending time outside running, biking, and swimming, but she also enjoys reading a good book. She is excited to be a part of the Colorado Academy Summer Programs & Horizons team and can’t wait to be back at camp with the kids!
Kass currently attends Northern Arizona University. A few things that she enjoys doing for fun are hiking or going for walks and relaxing in a hammock during the warm days. Kass has a big heart for adventure and enjoys conquering new obstacles daily. At camp this summer, she is looking forward to helping children have a wonderful time leaning archery as well as creating new ideas for different targets for the campers to shoot at.
This is Lana’s 6th summer at Colorado Academy Summer Camp. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Special Education this May and will be teaching at Bill Reed Middle School in Loveland this fall as one of their resource teachers. Lana loves playing chess and coached chess at several elementary schools. She’s also an artist and loves to figure skate. She’s looking forward to seeing all of the returning campers and getting to know all of the new campers this summer.
Lauren will be a junior in high school at Colorado Academy. She enjoys playing field hockey and soccer and loves the visual arts, particularly painting. She is looking forward to making camp a fun experience for campers and cannot wait to create memories of plays, games, friendships, and laughter.
Maddy is a Photography major at Northern Arizona University. She loves going to a baseball games with family and friends and also loves going on adventures as well. She’s really looking forward to a summer full of fun and hanging out with kids and watching them grow and make memories at camp. She’s attended camp herself and knows just how fun it can be!
MaryBeth is a 3rd grade teacher at Vanguard Classical School West campus in Aurora. She loves exploring the amazing live-music experience Denver has to offer and spending time outside, particularly in the mountains. This summer, she is looking forward to working with the counselor assistants, developing a strong and supportive leadership program, and making this summer excellent.
Mia attends Evergreen High School. She loves to travel to exotic places, learning different cultures, and being outdoors. She also enjoys meeting new people, getting to know them, and finding out what makes them stand out. She is passionate about helping people, whether it is with something they haven’t done before, making sure they feel better, or simply giving them someone to talk to. She is looking forward to getting to know the campers and making sure they have a fantastic experience that they will look back on and remember.
Nicolette graduated from Adelphi University as a communications major with a minors in gender studies and marketing. While at school she played 4 years of Division 2 field hockey. Sh plans to go back to school to earn her masters in School Counseling. She has spent the past year traveling across Europe as well as the west coast of Mexico. She is looking forward to meeting new people this summer at camp and going on adventures.
This is Sara’s fourth year working at Colorado Academy Summer Programs. She just finished her first year of teaching 7th grade Language Arts and looks forward to a new year of adventures! For fun, she loves hiking any place she can find a great view of the mountains and baking cookies. She also enjoy photography, especially portraits and action shots. The activities she’s most excited for at camp are dunk tanks and archery.
Stevie is currently a sophomore at Colorado State University studying biomedical sciences. Although school is always very fun, some other things that he enjoys doing in his free time include playing ultimate frisbee for his D-1 team at CSU, and fun art in his studio! He is very excited to work this summer and just enjoy the amazing weather outside and getting to know all the kids, and building relationships with them.
