A Baker’s Dozen
Entering grades 1-8
Knead it, roll it, bake it, EAT IT! Learn the creative baking tips and shortcuts it takes to become a pastry chef. Using dough made from scratch, young pastry chefs create fun and delicious masterpieces and create a recipe book to share their new talents at home!

Back to School in the Kitchen
Entering grades 6-9
The kitchen makes back-to-school learning fun! We’ll practice the scientific principles of osmosis by making quick pickles and chemical reactions in edible volcanoes. We’ll use mathematical fractions by quartering, halving and doubling recipes, and we’ll explore the geography and history of foods as we travel around the world creating authentic regional recipes. We’ll even practice our reading and writing skills when we create recipes for cupcakes and other great food! Instructor: Syd Davidson

Chinese Cooking
Entering grades 4-7
Spring rolls, hun-tung in soup, stir-fried rice, green onion pies, chow mein. Cooking is a form of art that anyone can learn. It is a skill that is passed down from generation to generation. Join us as we explore Chinese Cooking using vegetables, meats, seasonings and marinades. Grab your chopsticks, because we will sample everything that we cook. Instructor: Haishan Ellis

Cooking Up a Storm
Entering grades 1-8
Mix it, bake it, boil it, eat it, with this hands-on cooking experience! All chefs gain basic knowledge in the proper use of various kitchen tools and equipment; the accurate measurement of ingredients; and the vocabulary of cooking. Different recipes are used in each program, and students prepare their own recipe book! Instructor: Carol Rosberg

Flour Child
Entering grades 5-9
Get creative with funky recipes and groovy techniques! A baking class inspired by “flour power” with a focus on kitchen safety and fun. A few of our menus include: pull-apart sweet bread with raspberry jam and lemon glaze; red velvet whoopie pies with sweet cream cheese filling; colorful tie-dye cupcakes with color-swirl frosting and confetti sprinkles; and of course, flower power decorated sugar cookies. Iron Chef

Come battle it out in an Iron Chef-style competition! With a new secret ingredient every day, the possibilities are endless. Create your own culinary masterpiece, or use one of our recipes. Entries will be judged (and eaten!) daily.

Professional Cooking 101
Entering grades 6-9
Learn how to cook like a real chef by spending the week with our two professional chefs. Chef Paul and Chef Chris have over 55 years of professional restaurant and cooking experience. Learn basic cooking techniques, food production, food safety and sanitation. Learn to use a kitchen knife safely, how to properly cut fruits and vegetables, and make fresh dough and pasta. In this exciting camp, we will have challenges based on campers’ favorite shows from “Master Chef Jr.” “Cupcake Wars” to “Cutthroat Kitchen!” We will explore how to use various cooking equipment, learn new prep techniques, explore flavor pairing, and create tasty mouthwatering recipes from scratch each day.
