Dear Staff,
We can’t wait to see you soon and kick off an amazing summer together! Before the fun begins, there are a few important steps we need you to take to make sure we’re meeting licensing requirements and keeping camp safe and awesome for everyone.
Required Training (Due by May 31)
As a state-licensed program, we are required to complete a series of training videos. These trainings take approximately 3–4 hours, and you will be paid for your time. Once complete, please upload your certificates to your Campminder staff portal.

Colorado Shines (PDIS) Courses
To complete these, you'll need a PDIS account. If you don’t have one yet, start here: Create/Login to PDIS
How to Access Courses:

Log in and click the blue “Go to Learning” button.

Close the “Welcome to My Learning” popup.

Use the search bar to find each course listed below.

Click Open Curriculum → (View Details, if prompted) → Launch.

Complete the course and print your certificate.

Upload each certificate to your Campminder portal.
We know this system can be tricky—please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help!
Courses to Complete:
Every Year (Required for All Staff):

Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect

Standard Precautions including Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases

CPR/First Aid Certification or Introduction to First Aid and CPR

If you are not certified, complete the online course. Group Leaders and Coordinators must be CPR/First Aid certified.

One-Time Trainings (Only If You Haven’t Done These Before):
4. Injury Prevention for Day Camp Programs that Do NOT Use a Playground
5. Playground Safety for School-Age Programs
6. FEMA – Active Shooter Training

If you haven’t completed FEMA training before, you’ll need a FEMA SID:

Background Check Form (TRAILS) – Will be sent directly to you.

Fingerprinting Instructions – Follow these to complete your background check.

Required for Group Leaders and Coordinators. Optional for all other staff (you may also choose to complete the online Introduction to CPR/First Aid).
Mandatory Orientation June 6 & 7
8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. each day
